I liked the blob.... :(((((((
however insane the Tar Pit Blob was, at least there was a B-Movie clarity to the design. Now, the sugarcubes detract from that. It still, as always, seems crazy to decimate the edge of the plaza (across from Piano), as that semi-covered space is one of LA's few great urban rooms. It's shocking to see something so insensitive from Zumthor, however nice the details turn out....
