Hundreds of New Yorkers turned out last night for a raucous public hearing (the only one scheduled) to determine whether the state should approve a deal to build a football stadium on the far west side of Manhattan, a project that is central to the mayor's plans for the 2012 Olympics and the redevelopment of Hell's Kitchen.
