• New Plan for Architecture School at Wright Foundation: Facing the loss of its accreditation in 2017, the school is considering independent incorporation in order to continue operating.

Thursday, October 30:

• Archinect's Lexicon: "Anthropocene": Recognizing that "Architecture notoriously appropriates and invents new language – sometimes to make appeals, sometimes to fill conceptual gaps, sometimes nonsensically", Archinect's new series will create a lexicon of (mostly new) discursive architectural terms.

Wednesday, October 29:

• Relocation or Adaptation: São Paulo Nears Collapse as Drought Continues: Partially due to climate change and deforestation, major reservoirs are dangerously low and cities in São Paulo are beginning to go dry.
• Snøhetta to take over SF development project near Civic Center: The condo design originally was given to Richard Meier, and may involve relocating the adjacent subway stop at Civic Center in downtown San Francisco.
• The Broad Kinda Sorta Has an Opening Date: Fall 2015: The free-admission art museum, currently under construction in Los Angeles' downtown, was last slated to open in Fall 2014.
• US currency reimagined to celebrate ideas, not the dead: On the heels of Snøhetta's redesign of the Norwegian kroner, Travis Purrington's speculative designs include geometric motifs among architectural and landscape imagery.

Tuesday, October 28:

• Oslo council votes yes on new Munch Museum: Herreros' dramatic design for the museum, as chosen in a 2009 competition, faced roadblocks for supposedly distracting attention from Oslo's opera building, a relatively recent landmark.
• Kean University announces the Michael Graves School of Architecture: The school will focus on hand-drawing design principles, and operate out of dual campuses in New Jersey and Wengzhou, China.
• Grimshaw + Gruen's L.A. Union Station Master Plan approved for implementation: Finally, work can begin on commercial development, renovation, and preservation of the national historic landmark station.

Monday, October 27:

• From 'Music Row' to Condo Row: Considering Nashville, Tennessee's development as its historic Studio A (RCA Victor Nashville Sound Studios) is demolished in favor of luxury condos.
• Hashim Sarkis named dean of the School of Architecture and Planning: Sarkis previously served as director of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture, housed jointly at Harvard and MIT, and is currently a professor at the GSD. He'll begin as MIT's dean in January of 2015.
