An abandoned 1916-built power plant located along the working waterfront of New Bedford, Massachusetts would be transformed into the centerpiece of a vibrant mixed-use development. Kostow Greenwood Architects led the team to redevelop the industrial landmark and reclaim the brownfield site located in this historic New England whaling town.
The proposed complex included two hotels as well as spaces for retail, dining, entertainment, a conference and event center, structured parking and a revitalized waterfront esplanade to accommodate both tourist and the local fishing industry.
