BKSK Architects is a New York City-based firm specializing in design that is socially, contextually, and ecologically engaged. The firm's diverse range of work includes award-winning cultural, civic, educational, and multi-family residential projects.

We are looking for an Interior Architect/ Architectural Designer with 6-10 years of experience to join our Interior Design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful functional, aesthetically pleasing interior environments. An ideal candidate would have high quality design, strong technical capabilities, and a positive, collaborative working method. 

Ideal Candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited university or Degree in Interior Design with work experience in an Architectural firm
• 6-10 years of experience, (NYC based experience preferred)
• Strong design skills with proven experience designing interior spaces
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, 3DSMax/V-Ray/Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design-related programs
• Experience in sustainable design and healthy building materials (LEED/ Well/ Pratt Healthy Materials Lab accreditation a plus)
• Experience with all phases of project development from schematic design through construction with a strong preference for candidates who have executed projects from start to completion.
• Ability to work on multiple project typologies
• Strong knowledge of material properties, and material sourcing and research with the ability to understand and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed drawings and collaborate with consultant teams
• Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment
• Ability to produce and present design work and to communicate comfortably, clearly and confidently with team members, stakeholders, and clients
• Expertise in creating visually appealing presentations including, but not limited to, mood boards, diagramming, 3D renderings, space planning, furniture, finishes, and interior building components

This is a full-time position with benefits, including health insurance, company-match 401K, and mentoring and benefits for professional development including ARE and IIDA support. Expected salary range is $85,000-110,000, depending upon capabilities and relevant experience.
