Fluidity Design Consultants is a leading edge, Los Angeles-based water feature design and engineering firm with an international practice. The firm collaborates with many of the world’s most respected architects, landscape architects, and developers in the realization of site-specific, creative and technically refined water features. 

Fluidity seeks a project manager to coordinate and manage the firm’s relationship as the sub-consultant to the prime design lead on projects. Interested applicants must have substantial experience facilitating project delivery, commitment to optimizing workflow to meet project milestones, and excellent communication habits. The ideal candidate is a positive team player who can work collaboratively while also being proactive and working independently.

Responsibilities

·       Manage the Prime/Sub-consultant relationship through regular communications

·       Organize the project’s workplan with design team and senior management to profitably deliver the work product related to the project milestones on time 

·       Monitor project budgets and resource allocation throughout design and construction phases

·       Identify projects’ scope for contract compliance and alert management staff to opportunities for additional services

·       Attend regular project-wide meetings representing Fluidity interests with regards to schedule, issues, planning milestones and resources

·       Maintain regular communications with prime design lead and other design consultants 

·       Draft or distribute meeting minutes to the Fluidity project team

·       Assist with developing and distributing production materials at milestones

Requirements

·       Strong organizational, written and communication skills

·       Ability to skillfully work alongside internal and external collaborators

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Apple Keynote

·       Experience with writing and review of design contracts

·       Experience with Revit, Rhino and AutoCAD is a plus

Required Professional Experience: 3-7 years of experience 

Education: A professional degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Design Management

Job Type: Full-time Compensation: 75k-85k, Commensurate with ability and experience. Salary + benefits
