HansonLA is currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 7-10 years’ experience and demonstrated leadership skills to join our growing team. The appropriate candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and will have the capability to work efficiently within a collaborative studio. This is an advanced position at HansonLA and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding professional environment and can fulfill leadership roles on projects. Our interiors projects range in size from 10,000 to 80,000 square feet and include renovations, expansions, and new construction. Experience in design, production, and construction is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
Experience and proficiency in all phases of design projects from conception to completion
Manage client interactions and effectively guide the client through the design process
Ensure the accuracy of code compliance and design intent for all plans
Effectively manage project hours and costs for each phase of a project
Takes initiative on strategic issues including design direction and providing quality management
Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria
Demonstrate advanced understanding and experience in the application of planning, programming, and design principles and methods
Provide coaching and mentorship to support the professional development of junior staff
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills

Requirements
Bachelor of Architecture, Master’s in Architecture, or Bachelor of Interior Design
7-10 years’ experience in design and production
Ability to think and draw in 3D
Strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations, and industry standards, and application of building codes and specifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite Programs
Strong ability to think critically about planning, design, materials, budgets, and schedules
Understanding of materials and their appropriate application and costs, construction methods, detailing, and MEP concepts
