The Human Resources Manager develops and coordinates HR policies, practices, and processes. They support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives as it relates to personnel. The goal is to promote firm values and success through human resources management, including job design, recruitment, performance management, employment cycle changes, and talent management.

Human Resources Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and monitor overall Human Resource strategies, systems, and procedures across the organization.
  • Support leadership decision-making through internal investigations and metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance within Human Resources by conducting audits and keeping the MA Employee Handbook up to date with new rules and regulations.
  • Conduct employee trainings as required by State and Federal Laws.
  • Maintain company organizational chart and update as required.

Pay and Benefits

  • Maintain firm-wide pay plan and salary bands.
  • Bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Oversee the 401K program including enrollment periods, knowledge seminars, and administration.
  • Manage employee paid time off and other leave requests.
  • Manage health care benefits and enrollment process.
  • Conduct annual salary reviews with Studio Directors, Director of Finance and Operations and the Principal.
  • Prepare and conduct bonus reviews with Studio Directors, Director of Finance and Operations and the Principal.
  • Maintain ACA compliance.


  • Develop recruitment strategy with senior leadership and hiring team.
  • Actively recruit candidates to build and maintain a pipeline of talent.
  • Oversee candidate recruitment and selection process.
  • Participate in candidate interviews.
  • Manage recruitment budget.
  • Update and maintain job descriptions as required.
  • Create recruiting events schedule; coordinate university events with alumni working in the firm.

Employee Relations

  • Support current and future business needs by engaging with employees and helping them develop professionally.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing employee concerns and/or issues.
  • Oversee and manage annual performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Ensure that 30-day, 90-day, and 6-month employee reviews take place and are documented.
  • Lead Onboarding and Offboarding processes.


Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Experience: 8+ years performing HR duties within the architecture industry.
