POP Architecture is seeking a Senior Project Architect to oversee ongoing projects in the studio, supervise junior staff and work on the design and execution of high end single-family houses, apartment renovations, as well as institutional and commercial projects.  We are looking for a well-rounded, organized, experienced and creative talent to join our highly skilled team. Excellent opportunity for hands-on experience and responsibility for all aspects of a project, from concept design through construction administration.  Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative environment, be creative, self-organized and bridge well between the architecture and interiors. Candidates with experience in NYC residential architecture is required. 

Candidates are expected to have laptop or desktop at home with internet connection and will be able to communicate through both Zoom and GoTo Meeting applications during the work week. 

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for the technical coordination and development of projects in all phases and lead the preparation of architectural drawings, bid documents, specifications and administration of the project through construction
  • Prepare deliverables scope and schedule throughout the project phases to meet Client’s Project requirements.
  • Actively leads junior designers, directly trains and mentors team members
  • Contributes to the development of standards, policies, and procedures
  • Effective at communicating and promoting the work of the firm
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Excel required
  • Contribute to design ideas and come up with creative design solutions
  • Experience with residential architecture, interior design
  • Responsible for design and execution of a project through all phases of design and construction
  • Interface with clients, consultants, building management and city agencies
  • Willingness to take day trips to sites outside the city
  • Attend site meetings and address questions and issues as they arise
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with other team members
  • Driver’s License and willingness to travel to a jobsite is preferred
