Remington Boys & Girls Club

The Lincoln Park Development is a three-building urban development project located at 116 Guion Place. The project is central to New Rochelle’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (NR DRI) and will include an 11-story multi-residential building that provides 180 residential units, a parking garage with 356 parking spaces, and a brand new Boys & Girls Club.

The two-story Remington Boys & Girls club will serve as the visual anchor to the three-building urban development and is the catalyst to the entire development. The Club will have a core mission of serving the preteen and teenage community outside of school with expanded pathways for academic reinforcement, socialization, and athletics. The playful design of the new structure replaces the former run-down Boys & Girls club. Industrial materials such as standing seam metal roofing, a multi-toned fiber cement board, corrugated metal panel accents, and double height glazing impart a visual liveliness that is appropriate for this institution. Fresh graphics and the unique shape of the building make it iconographic and identifiable.

Children and teens from the neighborhood will have access to the 23,400 SF club with facilities such as a gymnasium, fine arts studio, digital content studio, teen lounges, multi-purpose social areas, meeting rooms and offices. The Club will not only serve the Lincoln Park Development at 116 Guion, it will also be recognized as a vital center of youth support and a springboard for the future of the wider New Rochelle community.
