New York, NY
267 Pacific in Boerum Hill is a seven-story building with 60 residential units. There are 68,000 total square feet with 3,000 square feet designated for retail. The warehouse-modern style of the building is achieved utilizing brick with large windows and black mullions. The goal was to stay in context with the neighborhood while bringing in modern luxury. The project includes an extensive green roof and generous rear yard with green trellis. Integral to the design was a connection to Brooklyn with a large scale mural depicting a boy climbing on top of the street sign at Pacific and Smith. The image is based on a photograph from “Street Play” series taken by Martha Cooper and is a collaboration of street artists and a local youth arts group.
