Firm: Services, facility operations and management solutions
Area: 27,440 s.f.
Goal: Reconfigure an existing suite to include an open, flexible workspace environment, reception area redesign, and a fresh, new board room design with furniture and integrated state-of-the-art audio visual components.
Design: Fusion worked with a Veolia Energy on the relocation of their North American headquarters to a 27,440 square-foot, full floor office in a class ‘A’ building in downtown Boston. Fusion introduced current office trends to the client to enable effective strategic decision making for how their workplace should function. Ultimately, an open, flexible and collaborative workspace environment, with community spaces, integrated technology, new furniture and wall systems and strategically placed visual highlights throughout the space delivered a sophisticated, elegant and contemporary space. Completed in February 2013, this space has achieved LEED Gold certification.
A design was formulated to provide the space with a cohesive merger of organic and modern styles, enhances team collaboration, and serves as an inviting environment for clients and staff alike. Vibrant red accent furniture and flooring become strong focal points, associating the firm’s corporate identity within the architectural design. Enclosed private offices and conference rooms are surrounded by floor to ceiling glass with a contemporary custom film design, additionally allowing the space to be illuminated with natural light. Wood ceiling systems incorporate natural materials, establishing a warm atmosphere in the midst of a modern scheme.
