@CD.Arch: Welcome Home is a great song. It was my favorite Radicalface track until I discovered 'Wrapped In Piano Strings' and 'A Pound of Flesh'.
Most of my architecture-related all-nighters were spent to the tune of Halou's Wiser and early Underworld. 10 years later it still gets my creative juices flowin'.
but you be going to church, so NO! my power had a surge in my house when I started playing that track, no joke.
(side note: as I tried to convert my 4 year old daughter to Beastie Boys tonight, which my wife hates - WTF, my 6 year old went on and on about some youtube video claiming a new version of Littlest Pet Shop toys (LPS) that according to some teengage youtube narrator looked like demons...my daughter googled Hasbro and wrote down the 1-800 number and is going to call Hasbro tomorrow and tell them the kids want the old school LPS toys back, not the demons... my 4 year is a serious AC/DC fan and found the Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppline nice because it sounded like princesses)
so in short, evil estrogen is some scary shit!
the double shot gun cock reminds me of the 2-Pac and Bones Thugs-n-Harmony jam
which reminds me of early 2-Pac days in the Digital Underground...
hold on - wife made me go to back porch and watch the pouring melting snow and said, hey does that have anything to do with the short circuit, her hand feels funny....
but if you're Saturday night just ain't flowing as it should, lyrics from above track 2

the four (4) tracks above were extracted from a listener on Soundcloud.com that has listened to my track Fake Apples (many many times). I had labeled it "experimental" as it was based on a sound NI Massive preset named after the engineer/composer Iannis Xenakis but did well in the Witch House groups. I was expecting Witch House listeners to have a metal leaning instead of a hip-hop leaning.
and the post about Witch House including Doowutchayalike could be linked to Aleister Crowley
that is all really good stuff...I was in kindergarten when most that stuff came out, but to my ears its very Raw, which is the way I like good music - its really clean and raw and full of good stuff.

"Oh like the drunk people in this bar are all that entertaining? While they fall over each other playing pool I can't carry on calling Richard Balkin's a member of Kraftwerk?" - Olaf
"Yes,no one is capable of such feats of social behavior. You are either in the bar, your house getting drunk with wifey, or on the internet." - peasant
"Not true, a GC and I once showed the owner porn on my phone! Some naked chick taking a bubble bath. Hard one to explain to the boss when he came over, but no one was complaining. I was on the internet and in a bar at the same time" - Olaf

99 Luftballons
The Final Countdown (Europe)
Bring me to Life (Evanescence)
and others... The list goes on but I it depends on what I feel like listening to. When I am doing a heavy grind, I like listening to music that has a good energetic tempo. I did it for some all nighters that resulted in kicking ass especially in those hand drafting all-nighters.

It relieves the nerves and often helps to set my mind into that creative state and music is more healthier than drugs.
What music are you listening to?
Bobby Womack california dreaming
Billy Stewart - Summertime What great artistic interpretation!

Donny Hathaway- Giving Up
Huge Umphrey's Mcgee fan here.
They released a new album last year with studio version's of their live improvs.
If you get a chance to see them live, you will not be disappointed. It's amazing how they can effortlessly weave almost any genre into a set.

...and of course KMFDM to help vent your post-crit agony...
Yes to Underworld!.......Dark and Long (dark train)
North Atlantic Explorers.
Cage the Elephant Ain't No Rest for the Wicked
New Politics - Everywhere I Go (Kings and Queens)
nice Beastie Boys reference in chorus and really reminds me of this jam
2 Skinee J's - 718
which then made me think of
The Urge - Going to the Liquor Store
which I just did...Boulevard Brewing Company now available in NJ
although I think it only took me an hour to get over New Politics...that was disappointing...
compare
Beastie Boys - No Sleep to Brooklyn
let me illustrate.
Beastie Boys - 3 boys old testament style (click this link for music)....., Jewish, show a dressed up Hasidic Jew in their video that is referenced in New Politics song (no sleep till brooklyn). B Boys also from NYC.
New Politics, 3 boys from Copenhagen, DK or at least founded there, well they show a real Brooklyn scene in their very dressed up video.
you don't need to be an architect to know the difference here....
my bad, that version don't have the legit part...the one you started screaming when the keg ran dry...
The Urge - Going to the Liqour Store
go inside and get my pickle
(although the guy filming got it wrong, ha)
unless our area of Missouri had it wrong....
lately I've been really into obscure 70s jazz rock - especially stuff that sounds like bad karaoke.
yes - that's the album cover.
