WOW that might be the way to go,

back in 05 i paid about a grand$$ for a model that was around 3"x8"

the resolution doesn't look so good though, but apparently the models "feel like wood" so that's a plus

it will be interesting to see how much it will cost when it goes on the market. I for one would seriously think about buying one, despite having never used a 3d printer before.

Curious as to how this one works though

how much wast would something like this produce...even tho i know its recyclable

as much waste as other standard 3d printers probably. the dimension 12" x 12" x 10" produce as much support material as model material... and that is abs plastic....

I wonder what the build speed is.
Pretty good pricing. A zcorp310 runs around 19k and maintenance is around 4k per year. Build size is 8"x10"x8" so big models sometimes have to be pieced together. Consumables are spendy but they are really fast machines - thats the plus side of them.
Check out www.fabathome.org : this is a project that I am involved in. It is an open source desktop 3-d printer which deposits any material you can inject through a syringe.
