i wonder if this thread is greatly admired by, but generally ignored by more archinecters...i still stop by just to check some new websites from some of the posts here...
ahhh then it's obviously Finnish. And if I'm wrong I'll blame in on the fact that I've never visited Finland and the architectural books and monographs have corrupted my viewpoint
it’s pretty obscure, the architect doesn’t appear to have a website… but he’s got 2 passivhaus projects in the works, or in the process of being certified…
i really like that large, south-facing window, phu.
got it!
Steinsvik Architects - house in Tromsoya. funny, the architects have called their passivhus system the "I-Box" concept; what's this house have to do with a mac?
I do like that window tho... will post in a few
got it: Eduardo Souto de Moura's Paula Rego Museum in Portugal. seems to me i've seen a ton of these tapered tower forms lately. would've been cool to see this puppy during construction.
Ah I've seen this one, I'm a bit conflicted about it, the detailing and massing is really nice, but I'm not so sure how I feel about how cold the exterior is in relation to it's program...
the exterior works, i think, because of the detailing.
if it was an ando-esque finish, it would look really banal.
however, from the interior, it looks to have a fairly limited budget. the juxtaposition doesn't seem to mesh well (let's blow our funds on facade and massing, to hell with the finishes)
Name that Architect and Building!!!
whoops double post. didn't see it go to the next page.
good stuff on the marte marte webpage...i specially like how the clients (i assume) are pictured in the project images.
diabase is up!!!
it's not necessarily a bad thing, but when i looked at the image, i immediately thought..."bucky is getting sloppy"
ok,
Time to put this thread back on 1st page.
Melbourne Rectangular Stadium [to be named later]

it's the lac superieur residence in quebec, by saucier + perrotte
next up:
this one was designed to meet passivhaus, but i'm not sure it was ever certified...
My guess is Switzerland but that might be too obvious so I'll throw in Austria for good measure
good guess, especially due to the cross laminated timber walls…
but it’s much further north…
ahhh then it's obviously Finnish. And if I'm wrong I'll blame in on the fact that I've never visited Finland and the architectural books and monographs have corrupted my viewpoint
a little more west...
don't worry, my viewpoint is equally corrupt

might be too easy, but i love the board-form on this recently completed building
This project is in Serbia or Croatia from memory... Religious building.
