i'd love to do that...but alas, venice is too far from SF. there's some group up here that does a similar bit around fog city, but i have not had a chance to hit it.
I just noticed this on the website: "Note: The Architecture Bike Tour is now full."
What the fuck? I have reserved my spot. But I am seriously considering skipping this precious fucking tour. Who the hell makes a free bike tour limited? Ok, so maybe they want to keep the tour size manageable. Plan for it. Have shifts. Not some precious little one-shot tour.
What's more, the tour guide our beloved Mr. Hertz will be riding his new electric bike!
I will gladly give anyone interested a bike tour of Venice. It may not be as in depth as I do not live there. But at least you won't be pedaling behind an electric bike
Sins and Sprockets bike ride tonight. Meet at 8:30 at the Chinatown Metro station. Ride at 9:30. 15 miles. Easy ride. Bar stops along the way and at the end in Chinatown.
LA - Venice arch bicycle tour

led by David Hertz. i'm gonna go so you should too. RSVP via link.
that sounds very cool. i'd love to get a route map of that and do it when i visit later in the year.

Sweet! I will be there! I'm so excited that I get to do stuff like this now!
BTW, it's Sunday the 19th, not the 18th....
i stand corrected. thanks dubK
man, I really wish that this was happening any weekend but this weekend. Have fun, those of you who get to go!
i'll be there. yay.
That sounds great, I wish I still lived in Venice for that ...
I may be interested...
Yeah, I'll be there.
considering sportin' the architecture sucks t-shirt.... i'll probably get dirty looks.

why not just show up and follow? who's gonna stop you?
I have reserved me spot. No need to follow. But do I want to go at all? Anyone is free to take my spot.
i'll follow along from the air-conditioned comfort of the high desert.
garpike - why don't you rent a rascal?

damn...
hi tumbles :) long time no c!
Yeah sure I'll lead a ride. But I prefer liquor stores.
vado, Centrum has C and bunch of other stuff as well.
i'd wear my "fuck frank gehry" shirt if i was close enough to cali, yet i'm on the other side of this continent
My lady pointed out that Mr. Hertz may prefer to save his breath for talking. Good point.
I tend to have a short fuse...
I am still planning on going. Assuming I can figure out how to get there.
shoot me an email if you can't find a ride. i may have a friend that's coming from downtown WK.
the tour was full when i tried to rsvp. would somebody please post the tour route? it sounds like a fun ride.
i like mr. hertz, but i don't think i need to hear his personal anecdotes to enjoy the ride.
thanks in advance.
you should just come anyway. it's not like they can stop you from being on a public street...
I wonder if there will be name tags.

Still open to all.
spaceghost, I'm pretty sure you can take garpike's spot since he is boycotting.
Tofu ride! Spots still available... or just show up.
hi garpike :)
hi vado ;)
Someone please ask David what kind of mileage his Tahoe gets, and why he never manages to drive it to client or Environmental Taskforce Meetings.
same reason my boss don't drive his audi 8 to some meetings. embarrasment.
did anyone go on this ride?
how was it?
any chance of scanning the route map or drawing something quick up on google maps?
thanks
