This is based loosely on how she looked when I saw her yesterday, with her bright orange GSA t-shirt on, and her fabulous curly red hair. This is my homage!
haha Q, i was just gonna post it. It's right by my work, but i saw on the news that everything was selling out quickly. I'm gonna go over there at lunch...

ok...well, that was an odd experience. On my lunch break, I just visited the Kwick-e-mart in Burbank...
-It was so busy they had cops directing traffic. The building is neat (as seen in Q's link), but i think they could have pushed it further.
-I was bum-rushed by an LA times reporter who then interviewed me...I'm a fan of the TV show- but I'd probably rent the movie, so I don't think I was what she was looking for. I told her I was more interested in the marketing angle.
-I ran into a guy I went to high school with almost *gulp* 10 years ago. The guy drove 55 miles to see it, I wouldn't have driven more than a mile...
-I got a Squishy with a curly straw that's topped with Lisa holding a recycle picket sign. I also fell victim to the marketing and bought a 6-pack of Buzz cola. [Sorry Q, they were out of Duff :( I tried.]
-the weirdest part of all was that my bill came to $7.11...at a 7/11? Ignore how ludicrous it is that I spent that much money on crap...but I wonder if they priced items to total accordingly- just to remind you you're at 7/11.

The one near DC is about an hour from my house, if I'm up there anyway I'm definitely stopping by. Not sure if I would make a special trip but I am unemployed at the moment so you never know ...
Rather than personal Simpsons (or South Park) avatars, why not craft them for starchitects? Take the treatment of Frank "Snoopy Stationery!" Gehry and go berzerk with it...
when I went to the Kwik-E-Mart yesterday, it was busy, but I only lined up for about 3-4 minutes to make my purchase. I drove by after work yesterday and the line was around the building and down the block. I heard people were waiting for hours...

And I don't (except with my fingers on my way out the door). I have curly/wavy mess that I occasionally shave off.

Her hair wasn't quite that high. I picked that one for dramatic effect :o)
