I was hoping that I would get something in the mail today - but I didn't. Kinda disappointing week for me. Usually I love the weekend, but now I just want it to be Monday so I can get some sort of notification from my schools.

did anybody hear anything about $$ when they got their MIT or GSD phone calls? i didn't bring it up, figured if there was money they would have said so.

to answer your question, ohmygosh: got parsons envelope today in the mail preceded by a phone call.

ohmygosh - i got a huge package and no phone call.. haha..

ahouseapalace, you should get $$$ info in a big packet of acceptance materials from GSD in a day or two. they just mailed them out yesterday, but I live about a mile away so I got mine today.

$15K in grants, woo! now I just need to find another $19,000/year...

Congratulations on the cash snarkitect. To second that ahousapalace, MIT said the financial stuff will be included in the packet but i'm not sure when they're mailing that stuff out.

I agree modernmonk, I'm a bit concerned about financing as well.

mrbren -- what's plan b? i've been lazily formulating one for myself. so far, it involves a sherpa and mt.everest.

that sounds like a fine plan B. if you make it all the way to nepal, you might as well keep goin -- central asia is lovely in september, and will keep your mind off where else you might have been. problem for me is, i spent the last two years doing the vagabond-in-asia thing.

sooo im looking into a management consulting gig in moscow, though i dont much care for the city. plan B is just the small handful of job leads ive gotten (and only since i stopped job hunting, of course).

cooooomoooon Yale and gsd waitlists...I'm feeling them. I cant go 0 for 4. Also, anyone else notice that last year the gsd didnt necessarily call/email before sending acceptance packages? Slight glimmer of hope still for people like me stupid enough to apply to only ivies. Eh, if not, there's always the '09 commiserate thread.

mine is v590m800..

among my friends who got lower than v450 can't get in colubmia
while those scored higher than 450 all got in

so i believe the cut-off point for Columbia may be valid

its gonna be a big week... i can feel it

i think that ut austin was supposed to finish all of their acceptances last friday... a friend of mine was down there talking with the admissions staff and that was their tenative date. but who knows...
