Was "fear struck in the heart of New Yorkers" today? I wouldn't call myself a New Yorker, and I was not here for 9/11, but I've been here for a while now and I've gotta say, when I heard about this today, fear was not struck in my heart. Anybody else?

Until I read the news stories, the thought of terrorism never even entered my mind. They have to tell us that the President and Vice President were NOT taken to secure locations in Washington DC? Are you kidding me? That would be a funny scene though. Bush and Cheney huddled in a bunker for hours far below DC because a 2-person prop plane hit a building in New York.

Based on past events, if something is a terrorist attack, there's no mistaking it.

Am I just missing something here? Should I be very very afraid?
