holy crap...someone actually mentioned the railway children. those guys looked about as dangerous as a jcrew catalog, but they sure wrote some killer jangle-pop.

smokety -- no van hagar for this kid either. i do have a special place for '1984' though because top jimmy...he's the king.

the silversun pickups have grown beautifully dml955i. saw them play at spaceland in LA some 4 years ago and they could barely play their instruments (and didn't seem to mind either). last year's pikul e.p. was a real treat. definitely recommended.

I saw the Hot Snakes in Philly and they played "Bullet Train to Vegas," which is one of the live show highlights of my life since I never got to see Jehu. Bullet Train to Vegas is also now the name of a band who sounds an awful lot like Drive Like Jehu.
