have to admit, i don't understand the excitement behind the french kicks. saw 'em open for idlewild a couple years back and couldn't wait for their set to finish. perhaps i've missed something in the years since...?
the silversun pickups have grown beautifully dml955i. saw them play at spaceland in LA some 4 years ago and they could barely play their instruments (and didn't seem to mind either). last year's pikul e.p. was a real treat. definitely recommended.
I saw the Hot Snakes in Philly and they played "Bullet Train to Vegas," which is one of the live show highlights of my life since I never got to see Jehu. Bullet Train to Vegas is also now the name of a band who sounds an awful lot like Drive Like Jehu.
