I have the arduous responsibility of writing numerous specs lately. The firm I work for has a template, but I'm curious about saving time and having up to date info rather than relying on a 5 year old template.
If someone has experience with any spec writing software I'd like to hear some feedback and potential recommendations.
bsd is a company that produces a program called 'speclink' that i've used on several large projects and loved. it's a database driven program and all the sections are linked together. very quick, can be customized on the fly. probably a little pricey for smaller firms (about 1800/year for the license), but you get quarterly updates and well worth the investment.
