First of all, which programs?

Are you going to get a chance to visit? I really think talking to faculty members and students is valuable... and visiting the studios. MIT's in Spring break this week, but some people are around, and most of the stuff from reviews this past week is still up and around. My personal perspective is that MIT studios are relatively focused on design exploration (in material, technique, formal systems and so forth), while GSD is much stronger in terms of teaching an integrated design and production process. MIT is also, in my opinion, much better at intregrating design with related disciplines such as urbanism, urban planning, design computation, htc, bt, engineering, etc. But visit and find out for yourself.

I am leaning towards MIT right now, because of its whole emphasis on architecture's commitment to society etc.
