oh yeah. because you know, I have a plane ticket worth of cash just sitting around. And my profs won't care that I just pick up and leave.
But on the other hand, it would just reinforce my already rather sterling reputation as the party girl to just pack up and head to Boston, just to party with you.
rationalist: I hear ya, but look at all the other 'nectors you'd get to party with - Quilian is quite the crazy dude once you let him loose on some beers! if you ever do decide to travel east, you've always got a place to crash.
awww. that's sweet. And I'll totally take you up on it at some point. Just not right now, as I recently confirmed that I'll be incurring some rather large travel expenses over the summer. Anyway, I'll stop infringing on the Boston-nector's territory now. Back to our regularly scheduled program....
DiagramMaster, Archinect Ambassador of Vermont, will not make the February 16th Boston Archinect Knights of the Round Table Bruncheon due to special peace-keeping mission to Vermont. More details to follow...
I suck – I was in Boston for the weekend but didn't have time to hook up with the Boston Archinect posse. But if its any consolation, I had a sucky time because I was working through the weekend and stayed at the worst four star Boston hotel ever. On the upside, I met up with Gary Vaynerchuk from Wine Library TV. Coolest guy ever.
nah, I haven't done the ride from Boston up to Rockport as I just got my road bike at the end of last season, but its on the list of rides to do. I did take the commuter rail out there with my fixie and do an approx. 15 mile loop one morning that was gorgeous.
ha, driving is a little less exciting but still nice. naw ive seen your posts about biking, so curious. you could get off the rail at manchester and ride it all the way around gloucester/magnolia and rockport and back, haven't done that in a long time but its pretty scenic.
either way, I go back up there a lot in the warmer months for the beaches so one of these times i'll make a meetup.
my post was supposed to read, 'poon-keeping mission'. Also, Pixel, it's ok that we brought one of the bandsaws into the studio right? Haha, just kidding. Also, i just found out that 'poon' is in the Oxford American Dictionary:
poon (n.) - 1. any large Indo-Malayan evergreen tree of the genus Calophyllum. 2. short for POONTANG.
Wow. Merge on fellow Boston 'necters! Pints of PBR on Pixel and shots of Nyquil on THEaquino! Tschuss!
hey, I've been feeling kind of sick today, but I think it may just be being tired, but just a heads up in case of tomorrow. I'll post if I can't make it--which I don't expect to happen. Blue Ribbon Breakfasts are hard to pass up.
My meeting was good...
It was more for the purposes of clarification, rather than seeking advise. To make sure they are aware of the direction that I am taking and to lay the ground work for future meetings.
How long did you all stay?
I didnt get out until almost 2:00
Interview went well, actually better than expected, but i'm waiting for them to contact my previous employer. Also, i'm pretty sure i'll get the job, but it is "pending the firm being awarded a large contract", and they will interview three other candidates over the next two weeks.

I'm super-jealous of you Boston 'nectors. I've always wanted to hang out with Pixelwhore.
im ready for The Other Side. their swebs ite says free chips/salsa with pitcher of any beer.
i think i'll have beer with my brunch.
rationalist: come to Boston then, I'm sure you could make up an excuse to travel.
oh yeah. because you know, I have a plane ticket worth of cash just sitting around. And my profs won't care that I just pick up and leave.

We can drink heavily at brunch right? I mean, I'm still gonna eat pancakes 'n stuff.
absolutely you can drink at brunch!
I wont be drinking heavily though - I have an hour drive home to an 8 month pregnant wife... yah, not a good idea to come home sloshed.
Im looking forward to meeting you all.
Diagram / Mike - I want to hear some good WIT and/or Punter's stories!

I'd be more than happy to meet the one and only rationalist....
BREAKING NEWS:

and to think I gave you a high-five while riding my bike - you're cut off!
Wow...Diagram, you know they PBR right?
I think we should all stay home sunday and mourn the absence of DiagramMaster by being absent ourselves.
Just kidding, that'd be fucked. Let's just remember--we're all drinking for two now!

I'm still in for saturday @ 10:30. but I might haveto cutout the alcohol, as I have a job interview at 1:30.
I'm in and I'm pumped.
ah if it was a week later i'd be there to visit some family in gloucester. next time.
I may be in Rockport next weekend...
I'll definitely be there as I live a 5 minute walk from there but I too probably won't drink as I am sick. We could take shots of nyquil though?
I'm from essex originally, what's to do in rockport? antique shopping?
nah, possibly helping out with some installation pieces a colleague is doing out there.
ah nice. great scenery out there, hopefully you'll be working by the water. You ever ride up there? 127 is one of the nicest roads in mass.

wait, do you mean drive?

how did everyone's meetings/interviews go?
I was a week early!

I left around noon.

all-in-all i'm happy.
alright, Structures for Inclusion is from April 4th-6th:
anyone else planning on going?
should we incorporate something into this?
talk to me people!
no, pixel. fuck that shit. is there even beer there?
i don't work well with the community.
which reminds me of that quote from mrs. doubtfire - "well i don't work well with the males, because i used to be one."
just kidding, of course, but i am actually busy that weekend. but maybe we can plan an official festivity soon?
