i tried the wizard option in VLC but it keeps saying it cant open my m4a. files. ive imported all my stuff through itunes... can anyone suggest a way for me to convert them to MP3's without having to buy a program?
Being a huge Sigur Rós fan, I'm ashamed to admit that it's taken me a few months to finally get around to watching Heima. Watch the trailer. Please.
I finally watched it last night and awed over their performances amongst the beautiful landscapes of Iceland. The film was visually stunning and corresponded well with their music. They played music in areas ranging from empty fields to small village halls to an old abadoned herring factory. It was beautiful to see and hear. I highly recommend it.

lletdownl, thanks for trusting my musical taste. I'll try not to disappoint you with recommendations to the like of Hootie and the Blowfish, Matchbox 20, and/or Creed.
Just saw Liars open for Radiohead last night in Tampa.
The shit was hot!
F**k i love the Liars. I just wish i had know they were playing (by themselves) at the Social in Orlando the night after. Would have been a better size venue. Although considering the fact that most people were there to see Radiohead (eviden tby the lack of interest in their act) Liars but on an amazing energetic and loud (for an outdoor amphitheatre) live show.
Radiohead (of course) but on a good show. Great light/visuals on this tour.
Plus lots of new songs...As well as some classics
Yeah!!!
I've been listening repeatedly to affection training, eating toothpaste, kiss and ride by bratmobile. love the single noted style of guitar playing in bratmobile like dick dale. it sounds mean.
I was listening to Al Di Meola's "sampler" last night. if you're into fusion, technical guitar, weird arrangements, funk/latin then this album is fire. it's what mars volta is trying to do.
while on guitars...jeff beck's blow by blow
i've also been listening to autechre's draft 7.30 because i missed the los angeles show...v-proc is on repeat. the beat bumps and makes my head nod.
queen doesn't sing the part in bohemian rhapsody. they stop playing and play a backing track, then they go in when it rocks out. i guess they can't pull off the harmonization live.
i wanna talk about music
anyone know if there is a way to convert mpeg4 to mp3's? a free program? any recommendations? muxtape only takes mp3
There is a "hidden" feature in VLC (a free media player),
That allows one to convert files..
really? want to tell me a bit more about how/where its hidden?

yeah thats what i did... fortunately i have several so i can keep a few up at a time
The ACLfest lineup came out today. Kind of a disappointing list, but the festival itself is always the musical highlight of my year.
Anyone partaking in this year's festivities?
i gotta get out to austin, either for that festival or sxsw.
i agree, the lineup is less than spectacular, but manu chao and gogol bordello @ the same festival (!!!)
Unless you come for the film, I would think ACL is the better buy $150 v. $500+.
It's really not that bad of a lineup, I was just surprised to see Foo Fighters as a headliner.
i hope you all listened to my rock out mix
especially the faith no more song... who thinks mike patton is the shit... i do
haven't had a chance to check it out but i've added both of yours to my favorites.

i do like murcof. thanks holz!
ahhhh, gotta love queen. one of my favorite songs to sing @ karaoke is bohemian rhapsody. pretty challenging but fun.
last night on kcts (pbs in seattle) they were rocking steve miller in chicago. ick.
queen doesn't sing the part in bohemian rhapsody. they stop playing and play a backing track, then they go in when it rocks out. i guess they can't pull off the harmonization live.
i wanted to see them sing...
