Is there a technical term for that box around the window?

I appreciate the help guys.

There's probably not one technical term that defines it exactly, as it's clearly a custom solution.  The type of bed is a platform bed, implying there is a mattress on a platform projecting past the limits of the mattress, typically with no boxsprings.  So you could call it a raised platform bed built into (or built as) a custom window surround, including shelving.

Pretty project.

rusty, got a CSI term for it? ;-)

Rusty!

CSI calls it out as "vado retro's love den window box" and it goes under wood (of course).

I got nothing.
