Renovated from an old military diesel engine factory in northern China, this 50,000 sq. feet structure will serve as the activity center for an approximately 12,000 inhabitants in the housing development.  It will feature a gym,  a series of swimming pools, a small theater, 4 restaurants and a large plaza.

In the short run it also doubles as a temporary sales center for the entire housing development.

Strategic design had made the structural and mechanical interventions of this project suitable for both its current and eventual function; thus saving the waste of a second renovation.

Chiasmus was responsible for exterior design, interior design, lighting design, furniture design and exhibition design; completing the project from initial concept to construction in a mere 96 days.
