Hospital for Special Surgery is installing a new 1.5T MRI Room
in their new Medical Office Building on East 75th Street. New
Waiting, Reception, Dressing, Control Room and Equipment Room
areas will also be provided for patients and staff. The existing
Lower Level slab is being dropped in order to achieve the proper
ceiling heights to install the MRI Room Equipment. The magnet
itself will be dropped down into the Lower Level into place, from a
hole cut especially from the ground / street level above.
