Cal Alumni engaged me to conceive a master plan for their property adjacent to the legendary Lair of the Golden Bear, its alumni summer camp in the Sierra Nevada, one hour northwest of Yosemite National Park. The master plan for the 10 acre property, including 26 cabins and a lodge, includes environmental improvements (reconfiguring vehicular ciruclation and parking to maximize natural potential, design of a 1 acre park, re-design of an amphitheater, design of a pedestrian bridge to cross the Tuolumne River) and the renovation of all 26 cabins and the lodge--including interiors--to align the architectural / decorative aesthetic with a rustic boutique hotel aesthetic also with reference to the historical Lair of the Golden Bear).
