Samples of Landscape Grading work. Completed for Landscape Technology Workshop I. Fall 2012.

Class introduced the principles, processes, and practices of site manipulation, description, and construction techniques. The assignments investigated landform types and structure; methods of survey, measure, and description; methods practices, and techniques for representing and manipulating topography, including slope calculation, grading, and retaining; cut and fill calculations;  and circulation of paths, stairs, and ramps. Objectives accomplished include:

• learned the fundamentals of building and landscape relationships as encompassed in site planning and design. 
• examined a variety of site conditions in relationship to both environmental protection and human usage
• Considered the roles and usage of materials in terms of planting and construction
