The bold flavors of the traditional Mexican street fare served at Guapos compliment the edgy design of the truck. Crème looked to the Brooklyn community to collect unused metal bottle caps from local restaurants and bars. Once the 40,000 bottle caps needed were collected and sorted by color, they were affixed to sheet metal in panels and then attached to the truck itself in order to form a larger pattern. Repurposing waste into design materials was key to the long-term success of the project. The truck currently resides in the Philadelphia streets as an afternoon snack haven or late-night destination.
