The project being proposed brings the strategy of adaptive reuse and project intervention to
the San Juan Neighborhood of Merida, Yucatan Mexico. Current site conditions include a heavily used fueling station for the public transportation sector and a local bar. Office Spaces and other program spaces for the public transportation sector are designed to compliment the current site conditions. These spaces are raised and oriented towards three major landmarks of the neighborhood to provide a direct visual experience between those and the proposed project. The intervention strategy proposed takes the raised spaces andencloses them within a structure that takes its form from a transformationbetween the current neighborhood street grid and a orthogonal street grid. In order to preserve as much of the existing conditions as possible the bar is adapted to become a lobby/ local cafe for public and transportation workers to purchase necessities thus allowing site specificity and a new office spaces for the public transportation sector accessible to the transportation hub located in the neighborhood of San Juan.
