For this project, a 20,250 s.f. renovation of a hospital imaging department, the client needed to swap out an existing PET/CT machine that had reached the end of its operational use. The design team, working in an operational Children’s Hospital environment, had to achieve this with as little disruption, and renovation as possible.
The team ensured that all existing architecture and support systems remained in place during the new MRI upgrade, reworking five new diagnostic imaging rooms, two new interventional radiology rooms and related space as needed to support the new machine.
