    Well”¦let's recap last week:

Hiroshi Hara has come and gone. Besides a brief pin up last Saturday we saw very little of our visiting professor.

We have decided on the last week in November to leave for Tokyo getting back to the State's sometime around the 10th of December.

Studio progress appears to be advancing slowly. However, we have been devoting a substantial amount of time to research, analysis and conceptual development. Our readings include the likes of Stan Allen, Tschumi, Alex Wall”¦I have even entered into the world of landscape architecture with James Corner's book Taking Measure Across the American Landscape. The book has great essays by Corner and amazing photographs by James MacLean.

I will try to post some of our work within the next few days.

Most of my time has been devoted to ARCH 715 “Metaphysics of Architecture: Creativity of the Individual Experience.” Our current readings are Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard, The Act of Creation by Arthur, Koestler and Creating Minds by Howard Gardner.
