We’ve designed our M.U.D. degree to focus on the OneCity Studio, four consecutive urban design studios focused on a single metropolitan region.

    Our 2015 destination is Detroit.

By focusing on one metropolitan region for an entire year, students are able to  deeply examine every component that makes up the city including; policy, history, culture, real estate, socioeconomics, and much more. Students take multiple trips to the city to work with institutions and  with organizations that influence the complementary and competing priorities impacting the city.

Join us for our online information session taking place next Thursday, November 20 to learn more. Thank you for your interest in our program and please contact me with any questions.

Over the past three years, students have studied Brazil, India and Mexico. From the favelas of Rio de Janeiro to the urban fishing villages of Mumbai, students are exposed to complex problems and are challenged to utilize new skills to address issues through their design solutions for public and private spaces. In advance of the 2016 Olympiad in Rio, students rigorously examined potential economic development strategies in lands that have been set aside for Olympic development, providing innovative ideas on linking low-income communities with new educational and housing infrastructure.
