What is the Master of Science in Architecture? As a leader in architecture education, we benchmark trends in the industry and forecast the skills and curricula future architects will need.  As a result, we created the Master of Science in Architecture degree - an intense, 3-term (10 month) program which allows for in-depth research and study in the emerging areas of conservation, design and health, digital technologies, and material systems.

This degree is for B.Arch. or M.Arch. graduates (or equivalent degrees in related fields) interested in pursuing design research careers in education or leadership in expanded architectural practices.

• The Master of Science in Architecture concentration in Conservation (MS_C) offers participants an innovative approach to connecting physical, social, and ecological contexts as a means of probing architecture’s active role in the construction of culture. • The Master of Science in Architecture concentration in Design and Health (MS_DH) examines interiors, buildings, cities, and territories that promote a critical assessment of existing design practices. Since the built environment has a powerful impact on our bodies, fitness, and well-being, students in the MS_DH concentration pursue new opportunities for design and architecture to positively influence health infrastructure by addressing inequalities, while drawing from numerous allied fields through design. • The Master of Science in Architecture concentration in Digital Technologies (MS_DT) focuses on cutting-edge research in advanced fabrication and digital design techniques and provides hands-on engagement with technology while challenging participants to explore design theories and methodologies poised to have revolutionary effects on future work in the field.
