New York, NY
As a part of a mixed-use development, the building is a ten-story regional headquarters for CBC’s radio and television production and broadcasting facilities.
The basic building is defined by a super-grid of columns and beams approximately 30’ x 30’ square. The forms and colors of the building exterior provide a clear distinction to each of the facades. The theatrical/production functions of the building are translated into the interior and the exterior architecture. The main entrance along Front Street is defined by a reflective glass cylinder which projects beyond the grid and above the cornice line at the roof.
