The Mondrian House
The design is inspired by Mondrian's Neoplasticism: external walls never meet in a corner, but go over to suggest the idea that each component has a continuity in space, in this way it passes the idea of closed box. The main facade faces South with large windows to create a relationship between internal and external environment.
The aim is to recall pure abstraction, a buildng obtained through a reduction to essential form and colours. Both the elevations and the plans are simple compositions made of vertical and horizontal lines and the use of white and dark grey plaster in the exterior walls.
