The Harajuku´s street in Tokyo is one of the most crowded in the city with shops and nightlife where young people hang out. The essence of this project is to create a temple to heal of the consumerist culture´s city, the artificial lights and the noises, letting the lights from the sky illuminate the interior instead the laterals where the neon and colorful street´s lights disturb the rest.
Like an ancient temple in Japan that creates a dark interior and let the shadows formed by the sky light, creates the interior space through the structure of the roofs. As a monotonous as a young hostel could be in a small site area, the interior becomes through the central opening a juxtaposition of modular rooms for different group typologies, creating not only sleeping spaces but a vertical atrium for circulations and relationships between them.
