Silvia ended her Master in Architecture creating a new typology of a pier in Huntington Beach, California. Extremely concerned about sustainability concepts and natural energy sources that the project could be capable to reuse, the project is a new structure that will allow expansion of the program. Compacted to the site over the ocean to receive the minimum impact to re-use the sources which are exposed for a multiple of uses, such as Surf Museum, Aquarium, surf and skate schools, restaurants and a greenhouse. While maintaining the permeability the Pier has, the new structure becomes a green architecture for the city of Huntington Beach.
