Designing a serene urban escape involved connecting three small apartments into one cohesive space that features a family entertainment area and a private master suite. Rebecca Spivak’s canvas spans across the transitional entry space offering directional cues to the living area which is connected to the guest suite. The carefully crafted cabinetry is highlighted by a modern collection of 20th century furniture from masters such as Leleu, Sornay, Borsani and Tura highlighting the Royere table under the sparkling Raak pendants. A lighted and translucent glass wall acts as an accent between the dining and the master bedroom by allowing natural daylight to gently flow between the spaces during the day and gems from the studios of Prouve and Fontana Arte at night. The beautiful European ash wood ceiling and walls in the master bedroom provide warmth against the layering of glass walls surrounding the highly detailed stone and glass in the master bath.
