The farm has developed over the years to accommodate several generations of a large family. Drawing from traditional farm and farmhouse vernacular, the volumes of the extensive program elements organize and expand to envelope a central courtyard. The simplicity of the exterior details is drawn from outbuildings in the open agrarian landscape blending with the existing classic American farmhouse. Emphasis is given to creating privacy and a connection to light and landscape for each space.  The main spaces open into screened-in porches and patios, whereas the master complex, office and the family suites are designed to maintain seclusion. The music room, the large country kitchen, fire pit, gardens and landscape elements are special features that allow the family to come together and share their passion for entertaining guests.
