A nursery owner requested a structure to showcase his collection of plants. The design was to encompass a steel sphere strcuture he already had.
The project is composed of “bubble glass” surrounded by a gallery / portico. The entrance to the complex is through a travertine marble path that takes visitors from the parking lot to an open space protected by a microperforated, waterproof fabric to exhibit large items. From there, the visitor can enter the gallery or continue to the outside promenade through the portico which is composed of a modular wood structure and a brise – soleil shade system.
On the ground floor of the gallery there is the showroom: a double height space that is overlooked by the offices located on the second level. Finally the “bubble”, composed of a steel structure and a glass curtain wall, hosts the conference room.
