The project consist on a two storey house located in Austin, Texas.
The shape and the presence of heritage trees in the lot plus the local building rules have had conditioned the entire project since the very begin.
The client wanted to design an house for a couple with extra rooms for guests and appropriate spaces for outdoor parties.
The first floor hosts the kitchen with island, family room, dining room and master bedroom. All of them face the back patio characterized by a long swimming pool (exercise pool) to create a optical illusion able to make look the patio longer than otherwise it would appear.
Connected by a sculptural helix staircase, at second floor there are a  large office with sitting area and access to the guests bedroom and the terrace as well, equipped with outdoor kitchen, BBQ, dining area and fire-pit surrounded by cushion seats.
