    Going to Spain

My plan to exile myself from architecture worked a little better than I was ready for. The lottery gods with their 'happiness quotient' ended up giving me my third choice of studio:

1401 - - Contested Waters: Rethinking The Tajo River - (Carl Steinitz, Christian Werthmann) Madrid and the Castilla-La Mancha region, Spain

I am the only architecture student in this landscape architecture studio that seeks to look at ways to improve preservation and cleaning up efforts around the river that cuts through the heart of Spain. It will require a lot of research and master planning but I will get a chance to design my own solution at which time I will get my architectural-design fix. Our trip to Spain in a couple of days (mainly Toledo and Madrid) is paid for by the local authorities that are sponsoring the studio and are providing a lot of intellectual support.

The Tajo River, we are only looking at the section around Madrid and the Castilla-La Mancha region.

    • Q,
Great talking to you last night.
This studio sounds quite interesting, although th eone on Mumbia would have been very interesting.. Why was that one offered through the landscape architecture dept?
      Have fun in Spain.
