Lou's Village Restaurant - Facade Remodel

This nautical-themed seafood restaurant was always a well-known institution in San Jose, hosting many banquets and special events.  The façade enhancements shown here, completed in 2002, use new landscaping and site lighting as major design elements in the makeover of the street front and entry.  The landscaping set against the backdrop of an undulating fence conceals mechanical equipment once visible.  The configuration pushes the landscaping with the mound of nautical buoys and horns closer to the street and to pedestrians, while the new path lights and signage brighten the exterior and create an inviting entry.  The new wall sign, maroon entry canopy and window awnings “roll out the welcome mat” to customers.  The unique push-through letter monument sign in the foreground is also designed by EBA.
