Antiques Colony Storefront - Facade Remodel

Faced with limited resources, it was necessary to maintain the original form of the building and porte cochere canopy along with all of the original windows and parapets. The removal of the outdated red rock panels, wall shingles, and corner mansard roof created a blank canvas, ready for a classic antique shop image. New pilasters, arches, and two-toned awnings provide a 3D quality to the large, flat, façade and are the backdrop for the starring features of the composition: two lily murals in the Art Nouveau style designed by EBA. The simplified canopy, covered in a new barrel vault awning, compliments the main entry without sacrificing the necessary weather protection function. Considering that the basic elements of the building remained intact, the resulting freshness and playful charm make this building almost unrecognizable.
