Located at the heart of the primary north-south arterial connection between the cities of Sammamish and Issaquah, The Commons at Sammamish provides approximately 235 market rate apartments and approximately 40,000 square feet of commercial retail and office space in the proposed Town Center development zone.  The buildings are clustered around interior courtyards, landscaped gardens, and terrace overlooks of the park. Pedestrian pathways interconnect the courtyards and weave downhill, connecting the civic center to the park.

The mixed-use campus consists of four buildings that step down the hill from the Civic Center to the park.  Varied storefronts, festive lighting between the buildings, as well as landscape and hardscape create a sense of place that encourage lingering.  A highly amenitized courtyard is located between two of the buildings, creating a space for the apartment community to socialize and come together.  

Building A will be a mixed-use structure in which the two lower levels will be for-lease retail space facing 228th Avenue SE and the internal parking area.  Three stories of multi-family residential units are to be above. Building B will be four levels of multi-family residential units over ground-level apartment amenity commons and for-lease commercial space. 

The fully residential Building C will consist of a core parking structure with four stories of apartments above. Building D will wrap the outside perimeter of Building C, and is oriented to take advantage of views overlooking the park to the west.  Due to the car traffic from the retail in buildings A and B, the majority of the 3 bedroom units and a significant number of 2 bedroom units will be located in C and D.  This creates convenience for families, allowing them to avoid traffic and have easier access to the park.
