PROJECT TYPE 733,00 SF Private Home, Apartment Alteration.

SCOPE Architecture, Interior Design.

LOCATION Downtown Miami, Florida, United States.

The unit belongs to a collection of approximately 352 loft-style residences arranged across 37 floors in the heart of downtown Miami. Though designed in true loft style, with wide-open floor plans and minimal interior walls, residences range from 500 square feet to 1100 square feet. All residences offer commanding views of downtown skyline and/or Biscayne Bay, with unrivaled proximity to connections for transportation, entertainment, shopping, education, art and culture. The apartment distribution, conceived as a large open floor, did not correspond to client planning of having a variable choice to private space, so would making it more attractive when it comes to renting. The intervention seeks to divided the large open-plan room setting up a flush sliding door for sectioning between, leaving defined a master bedroom choice when is closed. The new floors in concrete were topping with matte transparent resin-screed, and the original form-work ceilings were kept exposed for additional character, keeping with the industrial aesthetic whereas the white walls allows the sense of continuity. The decor layout concept was based on customer request, and under criteria of esthetic functionality; selecting elements from mid-century modern and industrial style, both furniture and accessories were fitted in the space reigniting the sense of living next to the historical art deco district.
