The redesign of an entire front and back yard with the addition of a rear deck, water feature, and outdoor space with a fire feature for an existing single family residence.

One of the essential components of our solution was a sitting bench carved out of the front yard at the back of sidewalk to encourage local neighbors to sit and gather in the front yard or older neighbors to sit and rest along their daily walks.

In the back yard we proposed an outdoor deck and sitting area oriented towards a fire pit which by day would be a sculptural element and in the evenings a center for family gatherings throughout the year.

The project goals included:

Drought tolerant and native non-invasive plant species

On site water collection and reuse for irrigation

Materials Include; decomposed granite, brick pavers, concrete pavers, river rock, wood, and cast in place concrete.
