This was a design/build project that required the design of a moveable partition wall for an entry space in an acadenuc building on campus. Its purpose is to seperate the entry space into a useable studio space. My friend and I won the competition for the design of the wall therefore giving us the task of overseeing the entire project. The wall is composed of shear fabric stretched over a steel frame. It is meant to react to lighting conditions throughout the day, solid at one point and translucent at another. The interior frame of the wall contains foam panels for an attempt at capturing some of the sound from this busy entry.
